Hi I’m Sam!

I’m an environmental professional who is looking to combine GIS technologies and data analysis with natural resource issues and conservation work. I am now looking to continue to grow my mapping and modeling skills in relation to natural resource issues in the Pacific Northwest. This website is my way of showcasing my recent projects for others to view.

I received my B.A in Fisheries and Wildlife Science through Oregon State University. After graduating I found my passion for restoring our natural landscapes and conserving our natural world. I have more than five years’ experience in riparian habitat restoration in Washington State working with both non- profits and federal/local governments.  I am currently finishing a Masters in Natural Resources with Oregon State University where I have applied GIS technology to my love for the environment and habitat restoration.

When not working or continuing my studies, I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest with my husband and dog. I enjoy hiking and backpacking and seeing the beauty of this region. I am also a hobby beekeeper and gardener with keen interest in native plant propagation.
